(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): The Mehrangarh Fort, which is considered the pride of Rajasthan, is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and the moon is seen in the beauty of Rajasthan. You will be surprised to know that this beautiful and huge fort is one of the beautiful tourist destinations. Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur is built on a 120-meter high hill. This fort is also higher than the height (73 m) of Qutub Minar. The temple of Sati Mata has also been established on the premises of the fort. The circumference of the massive walls of this fort extends up to 10 kilometers. Their height is 20 feet to 120 feet and the width is 12 feet to 70 feet. This magnificent fort is equipped with many grand palaces, wonderfully carved doors, lattice windows.


The construction of this historic fort was started by Jodhpur ruler Rao Jodha on 12 May 1459, but the fort was completed by Maharaj Jaswant Singh (1638–78). The history of this fort is quite famous. The fort has a total of seven gates, the most famous of which is Jai Pol (Gate of Victory), which was built by Maharaja Man Singh in 1806 to commemorate the victories in Jaipur and Bikaner.

Let us also tell you that in the Indo-Pak war in 1965, the fort of Mehrangarh was first targeted, but the fort was protected by the grace of Mother. The peak of this fort shows the border of Pakistan. Not only this, the grand fort gallery is equipped with different paintings of Marwar and Jodhpur which shows the culture of Marwar and Jodhpur.
